All hit detection is done server-side so there is no way for someone to shoot you through a wall/hill/whatever. If you think this happened then you probably had something sticking out or there was a tank that could shoot you which you were not aware of. 'Warpack' is a collection of client mods that give a player unfair advantages, including auto-aim assist and a few other things, but these are not hacks and if you get caught using them you'll be banned permanently on all accounts.

It is not widely used, and it's unlikely you've encountered someone using it. If you'd care to describe some of the questionable behavior though I'd be happy to provide probable explanations. Not sure why you got downvoted. Maybe butthurt people complaining that people who are 'openly using them' (read: 99% of the time, just people better than them that killed them) don't get banned are mad at you for claiming they get banned or something? Back on thread, I remember seeing Sela's Modpack in action back before WGA publicly dropped the hammer on him (nowadays, Sela's Modpack is just another average pack). I presume Warpack functions in a similar way to how Sela's did, giving many similar advantages.
I remember Sela's would tell you whenever somebody knocked over a tree/broke a fence/etc. And which way somebody's turret was facing and other such things - all items that the client computer knows for rendering purposes but are generally obscured or impractical to keep track of on such a scale or both.
The falling trees in particular was as close to maphax as you could get. This was my only potential run-in. (At the end.) The guy knew where the enemy arties were. It was at this point quite unnecessary (we won already), but it was still unfair. I've seen a couple of videos of it working; along with the minimap-cheat (you see stuff knocked over), the lasers and the reload timers were really something I found potentially unfair.
All in all: if you are shit, it won't save your ass. If you are competent, they can push you over a category. (Become blue from green, for example.) • • •.
